GOSHEN - Goshen delivered a dominant performance on Saturday, sweeping visiting Triton 5-0. The top of the lineup set a fast pace for Goshen, led by a pair of strong performances from their sophomores. At No. 1 singles, Logan Beck controlled his match from start to finish against senior Max Ritchison, earning a 6-1, 6-0 win. Logan Rupp mirrored that dominance at No. 2 singles, cruising past senior Colton Large with a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Triton's best push came at No. 3 singles, where junior Levi McFarland took the opening set 6-4. However, Goshen senior Andrew Hughes responded under pressure, battling back to capture the final two sets 6-2, 6-4 to complete the singles sweep. Goshen’s doubles teams closed out the match in convincing fashion. At No. 1 doubles, seniors Holden Ebright Zehr and Tristan Keiser secured a steady 6-2, 6-2 victory against Triton juniors Brayden Nifong and Max Johnson. At No. 2 doubles, Aiden Saner and Jordy Miller put the final touch on the shutout, defeating Clayton Andrews and Camden Large 6-4, 6-1. Next: Triton travels to Tippecanoe Valley on Monday, Aug. 31.
