ARGOS - The Triton varsity volleyball team returned to the win column Thursday night, defeating Argos in straight sets, 25-10, 25-7, 26-24. The Lady Trojans controlled the match from the start, allowing just 17 total points while taking the first two sets by scores of 25-10 and 25-7. Argos challenged Triton in a tightly contested third set, but the Lady Trojans prevailed 26-24 to complete the sweep. Junior Savannah Hawley led Triton’s attack with nine kills. Freshman Avery Wright added six kills, while sophomore Analeigh Na contributed four. Senior Lydia Hammond anchored the defense with a team-high 22 digs. Na and senior Jillian Bules recorded 11 digs apiece, while junior Sophie Howell added 10. Sophomore Ady Stichter led the Lady Trojans from the service line with five aces. Na served four aces, and Hammond added three. Hawley also controlled the net with three blocks, while Na recorded one. Na directed Triton’s offense with 24 assists.
