CULVER — Triton’s offense stayed hot from start to finish Monday night, as the Lady Trojans picked up a 20-14 road win over Culver Academies. Triton scored in five of the seven innings, jumping out early with five runs in the first, three in the second and three more in the third. The Lady Trojans added five runs in the fifth and four more in the seventh to finish with 20 runs on 14 hits. Lexi Kaufman led the Triton offense with a huge night at the plate, going 5-for-6 with four runs scored, a double and three RBIs. Jada Bules added two hits, four runs, three RBIs and a triple, while Kaitlyn Frick went 2-for-6 with a double, two runs and three RBIs. Clara Doll doubled, scored three times and drove in a run for Triton. Makenzie Singleton added a hit and three RBIs, while Kyrstin Alderfer drove in two runs. Annabelle Flenar also had a hit, two RBIs and reached base three times. Audrey Borsa added a hit and scored a run. Culver Academies battled throughout the game, scoring three runs in the first, three in the second, two in the fourth, four in the sixth and two in the seventh. McKinley Bleakley led the Eagles with two hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Sophia Dickey, Maitlyn Smith, Brielle Voves, Madi Walczak and Addy Frazeur each added hits for Culver. Kyrstin Alderfer earned the win in the circle for Triton, throwing the final three innings and striking out two. Makenzie Singleton worked three innings in relief, allowing four hits and two runs, one earned, while striking out two. Kaitlyn Frick started the game and struck out two in the first inning.
