BOURBON —Triton delivered one of its most dramatic wins of the season Thursday night, scoring five runs in the bottom of the seventh to stun Pioneer, 7–6. Trailing 6–2 entering the final inning, the Trojans capitalized on timely hitting, patience at the plate, and Pioneer miscues to complete the comeback. Despite being outhit 7–3, Triton made the most of its opportunities and took advantage of four Panther errors to flip the game late. Triton used a three-pitcher combination to keep the game within reach. Blake Ousley started and worked two innings, allowing two runs (one earned) with three strikeouts. Jadyn Prater followed with three innings, giving up three runs (one earned) while striking out three. Max Johnson closed the final two innings and earned the win, allowing no hits and striking out five while working around two walks. Offensively, Drew Bingamon sparked the Trojans by going 2-for-3 with three runs scored and a stolen base. Levi McFarland added a double, while Johnson drove in a run. Braxton Kaufman, Jadyn Prater, and Blake Ousley each scored runs as Triton drew four walks and capitalized on four Pioneer errors, overcoming being outhit 7-3. Pioneer had opportunities throughout, drawing nine walks and leaving 12 runners on base. Jayson Layman and Archie Blickenstaff each scored runs at the top of the order, while Lane Weldy added a hit. Hunter Stover doubled, and Jaxson Merrick drove in a run. Braxton Maciejewski led the Panthers with two hits, while Jason Gluth also contributed a hit as Pioneer generated offense but couldn’t hold off Triton’s late surge.
