BAUGO — Jimtown claimed victories on both the boys and girls sides Wednesday night, using dominant sprint depth and strong performances in the field events to pull away from Triton in a dual meet matchup. The Jimmies controlled much of the meet early, particularly in the sprint events, while Triton found success in distance races, select field events, and relays. Boys Jimtown’s strength in the short sprints set the tone, sweeping the top five places in the 100-meter dash and placing six of the top seven in the 200-meter dash. Cameron Inbody led the way with wins in both events (11.58, 23.13). Triton’s top highlight came in the distance events, where Brayden Nifong won the 3200-meter run in 11:59.49, and Lincoln Williams added a runner-up finish in the 800 (2:11.96). In the field, Triton earned key points from: * Cayden Bradley, 1st in pole vault (10-0) * Cameron Callahan, tie for 1st in high jump (5-6) * Max Ritchison, 3rd in discus (114-6) Jimtown’s depth proved decisive, winning all three relays and sweeping hurdles events, including a 1-2 finish in both the 110 and 300 hurdles. Girls Jimtown’s dominance in the sprints carried over to the girls meet, led by Terrisha Bennett, who swept the 100 (12.91) and 200 (27.21). Triton found success in distance and field events: * Evelyn Gephart won the 800-meter run (2:46.60) and placed 2nd in the 1600 * Avery Faulkner captured the high jump (4-8) * Rilee Bemish won both the 300 hurdles (54.77) and pole vault (8-0) Triton also claimed a relay victory in the 4x100 (54.99), one of the team’s top moments of the night. Jimtown’s depth again proved too much, particularly in the long jump, throws, and middle-distance events.
